#SCNS is changing. A re-organization plan has been worked out for the 3rd general assembly to be held in May. (NEW)

SCNS special task force has been reviewing SCNS organization since last year. A proposed plan has been supported by the managing committee and it will be discussed in the general assembly in May.
Major points of change are as follows;
(1) To abolish "division", and set up a new environment so that every acting group can work more actively and more freely.
(2) To establish a "planning meeting", consisting of a sccretariat, a public relations officer, a supporting team, and a regional block support group.
(3) A committee meeting is to be held not periodically but occasionally.
Six divisions have been organized in the SCNS since its starting time in Augus t 1995. Mismatches between division's objectives and member's wants have raise d considerable complaints from the initial stage. In some cases a division is separated into several small groups to meet members various demands. Accord ingly, the workload of leaders such as the division chief and the sub-chief ha s been increased greatly. In a proposed re-organization plan, an acting group organized with at least 3 members, can be allowed to work more independently. A planning committee will act as a center of SCNS management, and provide team -oriented supports to each acting group when required.
