Senior Net Sendai Information Corner


	#In the twinkling of an eye one year has past since the establishment of scns on 12/aug. We are still a fledging organization compared with many groups who have been working in local society for a long time. However, we have organized many events last six months such as; Robert Capa photo exhibition taking care of aged people who have light dementia volunteer work at tohoku university hospital and tohoku rosai hospital becoming member of international senior citizen association ( head office is in los angeles) network activities, etc In addition,we started food service in april for aged families mainly in the nagamachi area in taihaku-ward in sendai where we have an office. We are making preparations for the global visions expo.'97 "Kokusai Yume Kouryu Hakurankai" which will be held next summer. What supports such activities is the energy of senior generations and younger people who are working for their own futures. the dynamism of organizations such as scns is evident . On the other hand, people are saying that we make our scns as a saloon or a club to which people will be able to gather freely. In a sense ,we already have experiences on having word processor training classes, "renku" (a kind of "haiku") class, and have good results of ferry tours and bazaars. There are people who are thinking about the aged society seriously. let's think and work together !
